The Word Count Dashboard update should be available now for the Mac, bringing it in line with the iPad version's colour scheme and minimum day range for a project.

It's a great little tool to have at your side when you're writing - give it a whirl for NaNoWriMo this year.

Happy writing!

There's an update for the Mac version of Word Count Dashboard waiting in the wings - it's with Apple for review, so hopefully I'll be able to release it soon.

This update (1.2) brings the app's appearance in line with the new colour scheme and graphics that I recently applied to the iPad version. It also follows suit in lowering the minimum number of days that a project can be set at to 1 (down from 7).

It also fixes a weird issue I noticed when I upgraded to El Capitan, that seems to offset the position of text in labels, but only if the label is set to a bold font (it's not the app's fault).

Assuming there are no issues with the update, a similar update for the Mac version of Savings Jar will not be far behind.

So, if you're using Word Count Dashboard, or are thinking of giving it a go to help with National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November, keep an eye out for the 1.2 update coming soon.

Happy writing!

The sad news for now, is that the planned Subplot 2 update is on hold indefinitely. I've removed the previous blog entry (to avoid confusing anyone more than anything).

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who has been happily using Subplot all these years - and if you're planning on taking part in National Novel Writing Month this November, good luck.

Happy writing.
